Ingredients
• 2 pears
• 1/2 liter red wine
• 1/4 liter milk
• 100 grams of cooking chocolate
• Sugar
• Cinnamon and some corn starch
• Vanilla ice cream
• Whipped cream
Preparation:
Heat the red wine and add the sugar and cinnamon to it.
Peel the pears, remove the piths, cut them in half and add them to the hot red wine.
Meanwhile heat up the milk with the cooking chocolate and let the chocolate melt, while continuously stirring.
Place the pears in the simmering red wine for about ten minutes. Don’t let them get too soft!
When the pears are soft enough, take them out of the red wine. Take a bit of corn starch and add water to it.
Stir it and add it it slowly into the simmering red wine to thicken it.
Take a nice plate, place one scoop of vanilla ice cream and a half pear on it and pour the thickened red wine and the melted chocolate over the top.
The last step would be to add the whipped cream on the top…and you have a delicious warm/ cold dessert.
I hope you will enjoy this as much as I did!
See you next time…
