Ingredients (for 4 people)
1 small cauliflower cut in little rosettes
½ teaspoon minced ginger
2 garlic cloves minced
2 red chilis minced
2 7 ounces sirloin steaks cut in thin strips
4 tablespoons soy oil
1 tablespoon starch
1 cup vegetable broth
4 tablespoons soy sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons lime juice
Preparation
Heat soy oil in pan. Heat half of meat on high heat and brown on all sides. Take out and put on a warm plate. Brown the other half of the meat. Remove to warm plate. Brown the cauliflower on all sides. Remove from pan and add to the meat plate. Reduce heat. Add ginger, garlic and chili. If you would like more color to the meal, you can add ½ inch sliced red, yellow and green peppers at this time. Let it stand in pan for 2-3 minutes. Add meat and cauliflower mixture back to pan. Mix starch in cold water to make a paste. Add to meat mixture. Add vegetable broth.
Add seasonings. Leave in pan for 3-5 minutes. The broth should thicken to make a sauce. Plate on a bed of jasmine rice and you have a nice quick Asian meal.
ENJOY!
