1. The Frankfurt Children’s Museum (kindermuseum) is a great place to explore on a rainy or chilly day in Frankfurt. Kids will get a chance to exercise their brains and braun at this museum where kids are encouraged to touch and play with the exhibits. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10-6, admission is only 4 Euro (9 Euro for a family card) and there are directions for where to park on the English website.
2. The Frankfurt Zoo is one of the largest zoos in Germany. More than 4,500 animals of over 400 species can be found in the zoo. Admission is 8 Euro for adults and 4 Euro for children 6 and over. 3. The Senckenberg Museum of Natural History in Frankfurt is sure to interest children of all ages! From dinosaurs and mummies to insects and anacondas, you’re sure to see something you’ve never imagined. If you find yourselves working up an appetite, the museum has a bistro and there is a garden outside to explore on a sunny day. The museum is open 9-5 during the week and until 6 on the weekends and holidays. Admission is free for children under 6 years, 3 Euro for 6-15 year olds and 6 Euro for those over 16 years of age.
4. The Science Center in Frankfurt is located just down the street from the Senckenberg Museum of Natural History (above) and is a great place to let the kids get hands-on with science.
