With all the travel we do while living in Germany, it’s not easy to keep plants alive at our house. Even the herbs I cared for from seed couldn’t survive the occasional weekend trip. I recently learned about a cactus and aloe farm and decided to go explore the over 1,000 varieties of cacti and succulents for myself.
Variety of Cacti and Succulents
The 7,000 sq. meter greenhouse is the main attraction at Kakteenland, for obvious reasons. It hosts a wide variety of cacti and succulents that are arranged alphabetically.
You can purchase any of the plants you find here, and there is something for every price range. A word to the wise for shoppers, you’ll need to bring cash.
Accessories and Gifts
In addition to any number of plants, you can also find accessories and gifts in the store at Kakteenland. As you might expect, there are lots of planters and garden accessories. There is also an assortment of aloe products showcasing the many health benefits of the plant.
Numerous of Gems
Surprisingly, this cactus and aloe Mecca is also home to colorful stone jewelry and minerals. Collectors and hobbyists can spend a lot of time ogling the numerous gems.
After spending an afternoon shopping, you can stop in the café to build up your energy for the ride home.
