For the rest of the Summer and into the Fall you can get sporty in the open air in and around the city of Stuttgart. The Stuttgart Office of Sport and Exercise in conjunction with various sports organizations host its annual event “Sports Im Park” program (Sports in the Park) which is running until the end of September.
There are over 800 dates of activities in which participants can enjoy various sports and fitness activities several times per week with experienced sports trainers. These activities are held at thirty-four city and city-suburb locations including Lower and Upper Castle Gardens, City Beach Bad Cannstatt, on the Killesbergs and Max Eyth Lake plus many other parks throughout the area regardless of the weather.
What’s On Offer
Sports Im Park offers many one hour sports activities (forty per week) which are free, require no registration, and are suitable for all ages and regardless of participant’s fitness level. The aim of the Stuttgart’s program is not only to get couch potatoes moving but also to encourage people to try something new and find a new hobby.
The activities include Tai Chi, Pilates and Yoga (bring your own mats), gymnastics, health sports, tango dancing, senior dancing, holistic fitness training, back exercise for all ages, physical and mental fit through exercise, variety of movement activities and so much more. These different fitness activities promise to strengthen of the body, to activate the cardiovascular system, flexibility training, agility training, coordination training, and most of all fun in the open air!
Get out, get ready to move and have fun in open air in Stuttgart now until September 28. Experienced trainers will conduct various free sports and fitness activities in different locations throughout the city of Stuttgart. Regardless of age and which fitness level you are at, just come out in comfortable or leisure sportswear ready to move.
