The Do-It-Yourself public trade fair all about arts & crafts, design, handcraft, baking and cooking will be held from 17th to 19th February 2017 in the Messecenter Rhein-Main Wallau. TV presenter Tine Wittler will be this years´ special guest.
The trade fair will take place in the Messecenter Rhein-Main Wallau some eight kilometres outside of Wiesbaden. The exhibitors will be presenting not only the latest products and trends, they will also be organizing various join-in activities where the visitors can test their own skills. In addition to the familiar areas of handcraft, creative design and painting as well as jewellery-making, visitors can look forward to new trends like “upcycling”. This year visitors can enjoy culinary delights in our „Street Food Corner“.
On the Saturday (18.02), visitors can look forward to home design expert, TINE WITTLER, who will be showcasing valuable professional tips and guaranteeing a great atmosphere with her interactive show. In addition to Tine Vittler’s appearance, there will be various stage events on handcraft, cooking, cake decoration and arts and crafts. On the Sunday, food blogger and YouTuber, “Nicoles Zuckerwerk” will be presenting the latest baking trends. “FEINSCHNITTkreativ” will be demonstrating creative woodwork with fret saw and scroll saw, and the School of Fashion, Graphics and Design will be presenting the latest trends in their fashion shows on all three trade fair days.
Great cake competition – We are looking for the best hobby baker
The cake competition initiated in 2016 enjoys great popularity with the hobby confectioners. There will be a cake competition for adults and children again in 2017. Those interested can register up until 15th February via a form on the homepage. In addition to free admission to the trade fair on all three days, participants can look forward to potentially winning creative prizes at the competition judged by Fräulein Fine and Nicoles Zuckerwerk. There will be plenty on offer for younger visitors at the trade fair once again. Besides the children’s cake competition, there will be workshops on different creative themes including handcraft, cake decoration, jewellery making, knitting without needles, upcycling, crochet, sawing and much more. A children’s area with professional, free child-minding will provide ample space for children to develop their artistic and playful side. There is a special offer for families: at the reduced price of EUR 20, the family ticket grants admission for two adults with children.
